A lot has been said about the untimely demise of George Best on Friday, 25 October. As one of the lucky people fortunate to have witnessed his display against Scotland in 1967, I can honestly say that he was the best player ever to pull on the green shirt of Northern Ireland.
As a person, he was a gentleman who had a disease which contributed to his early death.

Let us remember him as the greatest footballer ever from our wee country.
