- The Chairman opened the 2nd. AGM with a
welcome to the 50 members present. He outlined the success of the previous
year, remarking on how much had happened, including the barge trip to
Old Trafford, the visit to Warsaw, the victory against Azerbaijan and
of course England, and the trip to Vienna. The Club is going from strength
to strength and are looking forward to another action filled year.
- The Secretary reported that letters had been sent to those members who
were in arrears and some have had their membership terminated.
The Treasurer’s report was equally upbeat as the Club is in a strong
financial position.
The Election of Officers then took place with some new members on the
committee (details in the contacts page).
- One of the committee is to be designated as a Membership Secretary to
enable the Club to keep the members better informed. Membership is open
to those who already hold Block Bookings and will also be considered for
those without Block Bookings, provided they accept the situation that
the Club will probably be unable to get them tickets.
- A Travel sub-committee is to be formed to organise tickets and travel
to both home and away matches.
- The forthcoming friendly against Estonia was discussed and members informed
that the price of the ticket was included in the deposit for the Block
Booking for the forthcoming European campaign. The money for this was
required by Friday, 11 February.
- The club hope to select one of the away trips in 2007 as a club event,
with as many of the members attending. The actual match will be decided
shortly after the fixtures are released on 14 February.
- A savings account is also to be set up to enable members to save for
away trips.
- The meeting closed with all those present eagerly looking forward to
the matches ahead.
