Mixing with the Famous

This photos were taken prior to the match against the Czech Republic in 2001. it appears this was the first occasion that Northern Ireland used a mascot for an away match. The innocent looking mascot is now a full member of the Bangor NISC.
The match also marked Michael Hughes' 50th. cap and he was made captain for the evening. The first photo was taken as the teams were about to enter the pa=itch ptior to kick-off.
The second photo gives an idea of how tall Czech legend Jan Koller actually is.
